Dear Pembrokeshire Coast National Park Authority,

I’m seeking details of enforcement action taken by your authority’s planning team in relation to properties offered for short-term lets via platforms such as Airbnb.

Please could you provide the following under the Freedom of Information Act:

The number of planning enforcement notices issued by your authority in relation to short-term lets in each financial year from 2011/12 to 2018/19.

The number of planning contravention notices issued by your authority in relation to short-term lets in each financial year from 2011/12 to 2018/19.

If available, please also provide the number of informal warnings issued by your authority’s planning team in relation to short-term lets in each financial year from 2011/12 to 2018/19.

Request under the Environmental Information Regulations 2004 (EIR)

 

The Authority acknowledges receipt of your e-mail dated 24 April 2019
which has been accepted as a formal request under the provisions of the
Environmental Information Regulations 2004.

 

Your reference number for this request is 269-2019 EIR (Please remember to
quote this reference number in any future communications.)

 

In relation to your application:-

 

(i)       Subject to the application of any statutory exemptions which may
apply in relation to your request, the Authority will take steps to
respond to your request.  If any such exemptions do apply, then you will
be notified accordingly by means of a separate formal written notice.

 

(ii)      The Authority has 20 working days, from the day after the date
of receipt, to comply with a request for information – under Section 10
of the Act.  Your letter of request was received by this Authority on 25
April 2019.  The statutory limit ends on 24 May 2019.

 

The Authority hopes to be in a position to respond within the statutory
timescale.

We write with reference to your request for information pursuant to the
Environmental Information Regulations 2004. Your request was received on
25 April, 2019 in the following terms:

The right under the Environmental Information Regulations 2004 to request
official information held by public bodies is subject to certain
restrictions and exemptions.  The Authority is under a legal duty to deal
with your application in accordance with the legislation and in particular
to provide a response as soon as practicable.
