Thank you for your recent request for information held by Denbighshire County Council received 12 March 2013 regarding Planning Officers.

As set out by the Freedom of Information Act 2000 it will be our aim to respond to your request by 11 April 2013. In some cases, however, we may be unable to achieve this deadline. If this occurs we will advise you of the likely timescale within which the response will be provided.

Thank you for your request for information received 12 March 2013 regarding Planning Officers.

The process of searching for the information you required is complete and I can now advise you as follows:

Q1. Please advise whether at anytime in the recent past whether Planning Officers employed by your Council have offered themselves or worked as Planning Consultants to third parties? Please also advise the names of any Planning or other Consultants used by J Ross Ltd when applying for planning permission for an out-of-town supermarket in Llangollen in 2012?

A1. We can confirm that no Planning Officers employed by Denbighshire County Council have been employed by a third party as a planning consultant either recently or at any other time that we are aware of.

There is only one application on our system from J Ross Ltd which relates to a supermarket in Llangollen and the reference of this is 03/2012/1407.
I am afraid only J Ross Ltd can provide you with reliable information as to who they employed as a planning or any other consultant as part of their submission. Under section 1(1)(a) of the Freedom of Information Act 2000 I can confirm that we do not hold the information you have requested and therefore, I cannot comply with this part of your request.

You are able to view any documents which may have been prepared by a consultant as part of their submission on our website by using the application reference number in the application search facility.
