Dear Mr Phillips

RE: Environmental Information Regulations – Information Request.

Thank you for your request under the Environmental Information
Regulations 2004 about the Housing Development of 20 plus properties,
received on 21st February 2011.

I have considered your request and determined that the information falls
within the definition of “ Environmental Information”. Your request is
therefore properly dealt with under the Environmental Information
Regulations 2004 [EIR] made under Section 74 of the Freedom of the
Information Act 2000 and is exempted from the remaining provisions of
the Freedom of the Information Act by section 39.

Could you please provide me with a complete breakdown of housing
developments with more than 20 residential properties granted planning
permission by Cardiff council since 2001. This to include the details of
the applicant and location of the development.

Please see the attached Excel file which contains individual annual
housing monitoring sheets going back to 2001. From this you can
identify the numbers of residential units proposed for each site and
which applications are for over 20 units,

However, details of planning application applicants have not been
recorded on the excel file since this was not relevant to its purpose
which is to monitor dwelling numbers with consent and stage of
development.

If you still want to obtain personal details of applicants, you could
visit City Hall Planning Reception and view the Statutory Planning
Registers for each year and obtain the details of the applicant from the
relevant register using the planning application number from the
database to find the name of the applicant for each site/ application.
Alternatively, Development Management at City Hall can undertake to
provide such details but there would be a charge.

The e-mail address for Development Management is

Please note that we require 24 hours notice in order to make planning
files available at reception. If the viewing of any such files is
required please telephone reception on 02920 871135 to make any such
arrangements.
