Planning Applications for Industrial Poultry Units - Approval v Refusal Attrition

Dear Shropshire Council,

I am writing to you under the Freedom of Information Act 2000 and Environmental Information Regulations 2004. With reference to planning applications for Industrial Poultry Units (including PRE application and full applications/EIA applications) please provide the following information:

Q1. Over the past 10 years, how many planning applications for intensive livestock units by year and by livestock type (i.e., poultry, pig, etc) have been submitted to Shropshire Council for consideration?

Q2. How many of the planning applications submitted for consideration (as per response to Q1) by year and by livestock type and by planning committee (i.e., southern, northern, etc) were supported at the PRE planning application advice stage by Shropshire Planning Team and how many were rejected at PRE planning application stage by the team. Please can you supply the raw data as well as expressing the results as a percentage?

Q3 - Can you please confirm from the total of PRE planning application advice responses provided by Shropshire’s Planning Officers, how many responses were provided by Planning Officer Graham French?

Q4 - Of the total number of PRE planning application advice responses made by Graham French please confirm the total number of responses Mr French supported in moving to full applications and the total number he advised the Applicant/Developer/Agent against moving to full applications.

Q5 - Of the total number of PRE applications that moved to full applications please confirm the number of those applications that were subsequently approved by the Planning Committee and those that were refused by the Planning Committee. Please provide the raw data totals and please also express them as percentages.

Q6 - Of the total number of PRE applications that were subsequently submitted to the Planning Committee please confirm how many involved Graham French as the Case Planning Officer.

Q7. - From the response to Q6 please confirm the number of those applications involving Graham French as the Case Planning Officer, that were subsequently approved by the Planning Committee and how many were refused by the Planning Committee. Please supply the raw data and also the raw data expressed as a percentage.

Q8. - How many of the planning applications recommended for acceptance by year and by livestock type and by planning committee (i.e., southern, northern, etc) were returned for further consideration by the planning committee?

Q9. - How many of the planning applications submitted for consideration by year and by livestock type were withdrawn by the applicant at any stage (i.e., validation, consideration, determination, etc) in the planning process?

I would like the above information to be provided to me as electronic copies.
