Dear Foi,
I think you missed the whole point here or perhaps i should of been more precise in what i was asking for.
The word you should of looked at and responded to was the word "inputted" because this is the information that i was requesting and not the whole of the strategic model itself.
Mr Simon Thompson spoke of the fact that a traffic survey had been done to the surrounding area near to the proposed new housing site and that the findings from this survey where then "inputted" into the strategic model to bring about his findings and then verified by a third party.
so i was wanting all the data that was achieved from this traffic survey along with the third party`s name and not the model itself.
this is the data that might of been achieved either electronically by remote cameras or physically done by static surveys, the name of the company who verified the outcome of this data is still outstanding

Yours sincerely,

christopher Eddon

Dear Mr Eddon

REF NO: 016457

I refer to your email dated 20th March 2021, in which you stated:

I think you missed the whole point here or perhaps i should of been more
precise in what i was asking for.

The word you should of looked at and responded to was the word "inputted"
because this is the information that i was requesting and not the whole of

Mr Simon Thompson spoke of the fact that a traffic survey had been done to

along with the third party`s name and not the model itself.

this is the data that might of been achieved either electronically by
remote cameras or physically done by static surveys, the name of the
company who verified the outcome of this data is still outstanding

Response:

As part of the construction and validation of the model, traffic surveys
were undertaken all over Middlesbrough in a combination of Radar,
Automatic Traffic Counts (ATC) and Classified Turning Counts (CTC).

To be clear it was the model which has been validated not the traffic
survey data. The traffic survey data was collected by specialist companies
using a standard approach.

These surveys were undertaken by Tracsis and North East Traffic Data
Collection.

There are well over 100 survey locations, with each one also consisting of
2 weeks of data. So, in order to be as helpful as possible, please would
you clarify what specific information you require

In terms of the model and it`s validation;

The model is held by our retained consultants Fore Consulting and the
model was independently audited by Sweco.

Please note that if we do not receive appropriate clarification of your
information requirements within three months from the date of this letter,
then Middlesbrough Council will consider your request closed.

If you have any queries about this response, please do not hesitate to

Dear foi,
i think i might be better off just asking a simple question, specifically to a mr simon thompson (highways dept)
in other words apart from the initial survey to produce the traffic model that was done in May 2019 was there another specific survey done at the junction of Hall drive and Acklam road at a later date, a simple yes or no will suffice.

Yours sincerely,

christopher Eddon
