Bus Station 

 

The above is a summary of your request. The full details of the
information sought is provided to the officer to whom the request is

the statutory timescale of 20 working days as defined by the Act, subject
to the information not being exempt or containing a reference to a third
party. In some circumstances Powys County Council may be unable to achieve

There may be a fee payable for the retrieval, collation and provision of
the information you request. If this is the case you will be informed and
the 20 working day timescale will be suspended until we receive payment

Thank you for your request for information dated 05/11/2018 concerning Bus
Station

 

This is to inform you that your request has been considered and I can
provide the following response:

 

The Request:

 

I understand a new bus station is planned for Llandrindod Wells.

 

Please confirm

 

1.    When the work will be complete?

April 2019

 

2.    Was any external funding gained? If so from who? And how much?

Welsh Government grant funding of circa £550k has been obtained for land
purchase and associated works.

 

3.    The total cost of the project to date in officer time and tax payer
funds

 

Under Section 1 of the Freedom of Information Act a public authority is
required to inform you

1 (a) whether the information requested is held by the public authority,
and

(b) to have that information communicated if that is the case.

In this case the information requested is not held.

 

officer time is not recorded and would be linked to a wider range of
duties within their post. Additionally, the cost of the project to date in
terms of tax payer’s funds is not held as this tender has not yet been
completed. Therefore, Section 1 is engaged wherein the information is not
held

 

 

4.    The total cost of the project once complete

 

Please note that the Freedom of Information Act only covers that
information which is recorded information.  The Act does not cover
information that is in someone’s head neither does it cover answering
questions unless that information is recorded.  We are not obliged to
create new information or find the answer to a question from staff who may
happen to know it. 

 

The Authority are in the process for tender on the works which means we
don’t have the total cost for the project as this has not yet been
completed.  Therefore, Section 1 is engaged wherein the information is not
held
