Placement exposure to specialities in Medicine

Response to this request is delayed. By law, Lancaster University should normally have responded promptly and by (details)

Dear Lancaster University,

My enquiry relates to your undergraduate Medicine course.

I am seeking information on:

- How much time medical undergraduates spend on "placement" in each of the medical specialities as part of their clinical education.

I would be very grateful if this information could be provided as accurately as is possible - in months, weeks or days depending on the length of time.

I would prefer if this information could be broken down as much as possible - so if, for example, you have a broadly titled 'Neurology, Ophthalmology and Psychiatry' rotation, please provide information broken down by speciality (e.g. Neurology - 1 month, Psychiatry - 1 month, Ophthalmology - 1 week.)

If you are unable to provide me with this information to the level of detail requested, I would appreciate it if you could give me the information with as much detail as is possible.

Thank you very much for your assistance - I really appreciate it.

Yours faithfully,

Ms Alexander

Dear Freedom of Information Team,

Thank you for your helpful response!

As you say in the response, you have not included information on General Practice or surgical placements - please if it's not too much trouble would you mind providing me with the number of weeks spent on general practice/surgical placements too?

Yours sincerely,

Ms Alexander
