Pit Lane Licence - Construction Sites
Dear Tower Hamlets Borough Council,
TfL license construction site pit lanes.
Does Tower Hamlets require similar licenses to be applied for for pit lanes?
Please provide a copy of an application form that construction sites/developers are required to submit.
What charges does Tower Hamlets levy and what time limits are placed on the development site?
If a request for a pit lane is made, does Highways refer to Planning consent documents such as a CEMP and or a Traffic management Plan, in which the developer has identified whether he needs a pit lane?
What operational restrictions does Highways require such that the pit lane meets legislation requirements?
Yours faithfully,
Ralph Hardwick

Dear Tower Hamlets Borough Council,
Please pass this on to the person who conducts Freedom of Information reviews.
I am writing to request an internal review of Tower Hamlets Borough Council's handling of my FOI request 'Pit Lane Licence - Construction Sites'.
The response provided fails to clarify how Tower Hamlets deals with developers closing sections of the public highway. The response refers to 'the safety of street works and road works'. This government 'Code of Practice' is written to address street works and road works, not to assist in construction associated with development.
There is no information on a TTRO on the council portal, or has any detail of a TTRO been supplied in the response.
Please can information on TTROs be provided along with the charges made.
A full history of my FOI request and all correspondence is available on the Internet at this address: https://www.whatdotheyknow.com/request/p...
