PIP claimants will be moved to having only have a ‘light touch’ review every 10 years

The request was partially successful.

Dear Department for Work and Pensions,

Existing PIP claimants will be moved to having only have a ‘light touch’ review every 10 years

Sarah Newton Minister of State for Disabled People, said 18 June 2018 in a written statement:
"to reduce the number of unnecessary checks on PIP awards.
being dealt with in date order, prioritising claimants whose awards are
coming up for an award review, but commencing this activity is a really important step to reducing the number of individuals having to undergo an unnecessary award review where their needs are only likely to deteriorate"

Please can you send me all the guidance used by DWP staff when processing claim for PIP claimants to move to having only have a ‘light touch’ review every 10 years. Including decision making, process tree and bulletins, updates or notices

Please also include copies of template forms completed by DWP staff and claimants in this process, including screenshots of electronic forms.

Yours faithfully,

Anthony Collins
