Dear Royal Air Force,

For reference, this is a request under the Freedom of Information Act 2000; also, for ease, I have broken my request into sub sections and would appreciate them to be treated as individual requests and not as a whole

I would be most grateful if you could provide me with the following information:
1) The Flight Crew Checklist (Typhoon and Hawk T-2)
2) The Aircrew Land-Away Flight Servicing Schedule (Typhoon and Hawk T-2)
3) Mission Operating Procedures (Typhoon and Hawk T-2)
4) Any other commonly carried documents by Typhoon and Hawk T-2 pilots (if this is too
vague, then we would like to request all information carried by QRA pilots)
5) A copy of the flying training syllabus used by RAF Fast Jet Pilots, for clarification I would
like this to include all elements from beginning (i.e. 0 hours) to the completion of the
operational conversion on the Typhoon, all course materials and any and all examination
and assessment materials
6) A copy of all BFJT and EFT course badges (in picture form or physical if possible)

I would like to be provided with both electronic and physical copies (in original form if possible (this would be most preferable!)) of the requested information. Naturally, we appreciate that some, if not most, of this information may be classified for reasons of capability and security, and as such the exception in S.26(1)[b] of the FOI Act and will likely be imposed even when gauged against the public interest in disclosing the information; in that case, we would appreciate as much information as the RAF is able to give.

7) Finally, if possible (and rather cheekily) we would like to request a complete RAF Form 414 (Revised 4/00) Pilots Flying Log Book, again merely for instructional purposes and for flight sim hour logging (the CO's idea is to collate all the flying hours and once full, place the log into a time capsule for the next generation of our cadet contingent as we are the first). Obviously, we're fairly sure that's not going to be possible, in that case, could you please provide us with both an electronic and printed copy of an interior log page and any ancillary pages (e.g. licences held, total hours, ratings etc.)

My address can be provided in order to post the physical copies, either on this website or through a private email address to the RAF FOI team.

Many thanks for taking the time to read and consider my request,

Yours faithfully,

Kyle Stubbs

Dear Air-DRes Sec-ParliBusiness (MULTIUSER),

Many thanks for your response, in light of that, can I please refine my request to the pure flying sylibus at the elementary stage.
For clarification, I'm not looking for excessively detailed notes (although sonething akin to a lesson plan would be most useful), more just a general breakdown of lessons or sorties

Many thanks,

Yours sincerely,

Kyle Stubbs

Dear Air-DRes Sec-ParliBusiness (MULTIUSER),

Hi

I'm hoping to use the information to create a practial flying sylibus for my local cadet squadron, I'm under instruction from my OC to make it as akin to the RAF sylibus as I possibly can!
In effect what I'm after is any kind of lesson plan or training structure used by FI's to train the new pilots on an elementary level, along with any subsequent practical assessment mark sheets (if such a thing exists). For example, I invisage that such a plan would include an aim/objective, followed by how this will be carried out and subsequently how the learning with be evaluated and consolidated

Hopefully this clarifies my request a bit, appolgies for not being clearer earlier!

Yours sincerely,

Kyle Stubbs

Dear Air-DRes Sec-ParliBusiness (MULTIUSER),

Dear Sir,

Firstly, i'd like to thank you for consistently replying to my requests in a positive and polite manner and for bearing with me through this time. I appreciate I haven't been the most helpful and for that I apologise!

In light of your recent response I would like to further refine my request as you have suggested; therefore I would like to request a copy of the student tutor manual for the basic handling phase of the 26 week EFT course. If possible, I would prefer a printed copy.

Could you also please advise me as to my position if I went on to make further requests for the remaining 13 student tutor manuals for the remaining 13 sections within the EFT sylibus?
If possible, can I please make further separate FOI requests now for these remaining sections, these being: Effects of controls, Straight and Level, Turning, Aerobatics, Stalling and Spinning, Practice Forced Landings, Circuits, Instrument Flying, VFR Navigation, Formation, Advanced Aerobatics, Advanced Turns and Handling of Emergencies.
Just to clarify, I'd like to make these as 13 separate requests, one per section.

Once again, many thanks for your assistance!

Yours sincerely,

Kyle Stubbs
