Picnic benches on Porthminster Beach, St Ives TR26

Stuart Hatcher made this Freedom of Information request to Cornwall Council This request has been closed to new correspondence. Contact us if you think it should be reopened.

The request was refused by Cornwall Council.

Dear Cornwall Council,

Pursuant to the rights under the Freedom of Information Act, please can you provide me with a copy of the licence for permission to place picnic benches on Porthminster Beach, St Ives outside Porthminster Cafe.

Could you please also provide a copy of the licence to place decking and picnic benches on the beach in front of the shop and lifeguards lockup at the opposite end of Porthminster Beach, St Ives to Porthminster Cafe.

If there is no licence please confirm the basis on which picnic benches are permitted to be on the beach.

Yours faithfully,

Stuart Hatcher

Cornwall Council

Dear Environment Planning and Economy - Freedom of Information Mail,

Dear Sirs,

Thank you for your letter. I believe the information should also be available and be made available by you irrespective of whether it is available at the Land Registry.

Please can you provide a copy of the lease.

Yours sincerely,

Stuart Hatcher

Dear Cornwall Council,

Please pass this on to the person who conducts Freedom of Information reviews.

I am writing to request an internal review of Cornwall Council's handling of my FOI request 'Picnic benches on Porthminster Beach, St Ives TR26'.

I have made a valid freedome of information request for a copy of the terms on which the Porthminster Cafe has a right to use Porthminster Beach, and was told to get the lease from the Land Registry.

This is not an acceptable response as the Council will have a copy of the basis on which Porthminster Cafe uses the beach and I formally request that a copy is provided to me.

A full history of my FOI request and all correspondence is available on the Internet at this address: https://www.whatdotheyknow.com/request/p...

Yours faithfully,

Stuart Hatcher
