Photographs of ministers

Steve Elibank made this Freedom of Information request to Department for Children, Schools and Families

The request was successful.

From: Steve Elibank

Dear Sir/Madam,

Please treat this as a request under the Freedom of Information Act
2000.

Do you hold electronic, hi-resolution photographs of all your
ministers? (Perhaps the ones on their security-passes?)

If 'yes', under what circumstances would you consider releasing any
or all of the said photos to the public?

Yours faithfully,

Steve Elibank

Department for Children, Schools and Families

Mr Elibank
Thank you for your email of 20 January in which you requested "Do you hold
electronic, hi-resolution photographs of all your ministers? (Perhaps the
ones on their security-passes?) If 'yes', under what circumstances would
you consider releasing any or all of the said photos to the public?".

I have dealt with your request under the Freedom of Information Act 2000.

We do hold the requested images in high-resolution and will treat each
request to releasing them to the general public on its individual merit.
The images are covered by Crown copyright (which is managed by the Office
of Public Sector Information) which will require you to obtain a Click-Use
Licence from OPSI, if you wish to reproduce them in any
way ([1]http://www.opsi.gov.uk/click-use/index).
If you have already applied for a Click-Use Licence from OPSI to
reuse other Crown copyright images, you will not need to apply for another
licence if you wish to reuse images of DCSF ministers.

The information supplied to you is protected by the Copyright, Designs and
Patents Act 1988. Any documents produced by government officials will be
covered by Crown Copyright. You are free to use the information for your
own purposes, including any non-commercial research you are doing and for
the purposes of news reporting. Any other reuse, for example commercial
publication, would require the permission of the copyright holder and is
regulated by the Reuse of Public Sector Information Regulations 2005. You
can find details on the arrangements for re-using Crown Copyright at:

Mr Elibank
Thank you for your email of 18 February in which you state "Your
organisation is now breaking the law. You were required to have responded
by February 17th."

I replied to your earlier FOI request within the approved timescales and
am now in receipt of the request to release to previously requested
images, which I am dealing with.

Please could you clarify the request which you believe to be late so that
I can take remedial action?
Yours sincerely
