Hmmm a doppleganger

The CLG only worked from the annual report of the LGO.. this has not been subject to any scrutiny.

The role of the LGO is well understood.

The effectiveness of the LGO and their failure to command respect amongst CLG and government (i.e. failure to ask them to provide information) - as they know it will be demonstrably flawed is now well documented.

Council's have been ignoring and supplying false information to the LGO's for years.. so it is quite reassuring to see that CLG and the government identify that the CLAE and LGO's lack credibility.
