Pesonal injury claims 2018/19

We're waiting for Dave Holmes to read recent responses and update the status.

Dear Derbyshire County Council,

Please could you provide statistics about the number of people who have attempted, successfully or unsuccessfully, to make a claim to yourselves for personal injury of cyclists caused by a pothole in 2018 and in 2019. If possible, I would also like to know the amount of the compensation awarded by the Council for these aforementioned dates.

Yours faithfully,

David Holmes

Dear Mr Holmes

Thank you for your request dated 21 January 2020.

Your enquiry was as follows:

Please could you provide statistics about the number of people who have
attempted, successfully or unsuccessfully, to make a claim to yourselves
for personal injury of cyclists caused by a pothole in 2018 and in 2019.
If possible, I would also like to know the amount of the compensation
awarded by the Council for these aforementioned dates.

Please see the below Freedom of Information Act 2000 / Environmental
Information Regulations 2004 response:

We have information as to whether it is a personal injury claim and caused
by a pothole but not a personal injury claim and the claimant was a
cyclist.  The only separate information we hold is whether it was a
bicycle that was damaged - but that would be a property damage claim and
not a personal injury claim.

I hope this now satisfies your request.

However should you require a review of the response you have received to
your FOI/EIR request, please follow the procedure as set out below:-

Stage 1:
