Dear Ministry of Defence,

I am writing with an FOI request for your Common Law Claims & Policy Division.

I would like to know numbers and if possible brief details on any personal injury claims for compensation regarding injury to recreational cyclists on the MOD estate from July 2014 until July 2020.

Please provide year of claim, the details of the claim and outcome, and if possible the location of where the incident occurred.

Yours faithfully,

Simon Brown

Dear Ministry of Defence,

I have not received an acknowledgement of receipt of my request - has this been overlooked or omitted?

Dear Mr Brown,

Thank you for your email.

I can confirm that your request was received on 6^th July, logged under
reference FOI2020/07640 and has a statutory 20 working day target date of
5^th August.

However, whilst we are working hard to achieve the 20 working day target,
due to the ongoing Coronavirus pandemic and the effect on resources and

Dear Ministry of Defence,

Please pass this on to the person who conducts Freedom of Information reviews.

I am writing to request an internal review of Ministry of Defence's handling of my FOI request 'Personal Injury Claims by Cyclists using MOD land'.

I am specifically not asking for personal details of claimants. This previous and successful request is an example:

https://www.whatdotheyknow.com/request/i...

The above request contains brief details of previous claims up to 2014 and as such would be suitable and satisfy this request for the period 2014 - 2020.

A full history of my FOI request and all correspondence is available on the Internet at this address: https://www.whatdotheyknow.com/request/p...

Yours faithfully,

Simon Brown

Dear Mr Brown,

We acknowledge receipt of your email of 28 July 2020 requesting an
internal review of your request, our reference FOI2020/07640.

The Department's target for completing internal reviews is 20 working days
from date of receipt of your complaint and we therefore aim to complete
the review and respond to you by 26 August 2020. While we are working hard
to achieve this, in the interests of providing you with a realistic
indication of when you should expect a response, the majority are
currently taking between 20 and 40 working days to complete.

We should also advise that the measures implemented by the Department to
prevent the spread of Coronavirus may impact upon our ability to complete
the review within the above timescale but we will aim to provide you with
an update, if necessary.

Regards,

MOD Information Rights Compliance Team
