Dear Department for Work and Pensions,
Regarding Personal Independence Payment assessment report.
It currently states on the 'Independent Assessment Services' page run by Atos that I need to wait until a decision is made before I can request a copy of the report.
What is the reasoning behind this? Why can't it be requested on the date DWP receive the report?
Are the any exemptions to the GDPR one month limit for SAR with regards to assessment reports?
According to GDPR you have up to one month to respond to a request, for any personal data you hold. As the decision could take longer than a month that would mean the department unlawfully withholds assessment reports, unless there is an exemption.
