Permanant closure of all main central bus stops - what consultation?

Mr Clarke made this Freedom of Information request to West Midlands Passenger Transport Executive

This request has been closed to new correspondence from the public body. Contact us if you think it ought be re-opened.

The request was partially successful.

Dear West Midlands Passenger Transport Executive,

1)

I note the decision to permanently remove all the bus stops in the main section of Corporation Street and Stephenson Street.

Exactly what consultation of the public, and of bus-users was carried out before this decision?

2)

I further note the decision to approve the extension of the Metro along Corporation Street and Stephenson Street (with the inevitable consequence of permanently removing all those bus stops).

Exactly what consultation of the public, and of bus-users, about the inevitable permanent loss of those bus stops, was carried out before this decision to approve the metro extension and thereby inevitably cause that loss?

Yours faithfully,
Mr Clarke

The acknowledgement document is so faint as to be nearly illegible if I didn't already have a guess what it said. Hopefully you can make subsequent replies more legible thanks.

Dear Tracey Sandel,

Thanks for your reply.

But it fails to include any evidence of consultation on the premanent closure of these main bus routes. It shows on the contrary that there has been constant evasion and misinformation rather than any such consultation. So the correct answer should have been the single sentence: "There hasn't been any."

So I can't conclude here that the request has been fully answered or ever will be.

Yours sincerely,

Mr Clarke
