Performance of European Baccalaureate students when applying to the University of Cambridge
Dear University of Cambridge,
This Freedom of Information request concerns the Cambridge undergraduate students and past undergraduate students that have taken the European Baccalaureate. I would like to know:
1. How many European Baccalaureate students applied, how many were shortlisted for an interview and how many got an offer in the admissions cycles of 2016-2019 inclusive, compared with the same values for all students, for home (UK) students and EU students.
2. In the same admissions cycles, a list of the courses that the European Baccalaureate students applied for, with their predicted grades for each student and, for those that got a conditional offer, the requirements.
3. In the same admissions cycles, a list of what colleges the students applied to, whether they got an offer (yes/no), whether they were pooled (yes/no) and by what college they were chosen from the pool.
4. The achieved European Baccalaureate scores for the students that successfully received an offer from the University of Cambridge and accepted their offer, in the same cycles.
Please could you provide this information in an Excel spreadsheet and as a PDF file. Each of the questions can be answered in a separate table, with the individual students being anonymised in order not to infringe upon their data protection rights.
Yours faithfully,
William Shaw
