info, Joint Council for Qualifications

Thank you for your e-mail message that, where possible, we will respond to
within five working days. In the meantime you may find the following
information of help;

Queries/Telephone

Queries relating to examination administration must be submitted by e-mail
message to the JCQ and not by telephone. Additionally, all queries
regarding examination administration must be submitted to
[1][email address] and not [2][Joint Council for Qualifications request email]

Parents & Students

Unfortunately, the JCQ is not in a position to respond to parental or
student queries: we can only respond to queries received from schools and
colleges as it is they who enter students for their exams. Parents and
students are advised to raise their concerns directly with the school or
college, principally via a member of the senior leadership team, who are
best placed to advise them.

Alternative site arrangements, Secure Storage

Queries and applications for an alternative site arrangement, and queries
regarding secure storage facilities, should be directed to the JCQ Centre
Inspection Service - [3][email address]

Change of centre’s details

Notification of changes to a centre’s name, status, address, should be
directed to the National Centre Register Number Team (NCNR) administered
by OCR on behalf of the JCQ awarding bodies, by e-mail: [4][email address]

GCE AS Transfer of Credit arrangements and Transferred Candidate
arrangements

Queries and applications for GCE AS Transfer of Credit arrangements and
Transferred Candidate arrangements must be sent to the relevant awarding
body.

Malpractice and Special Consideration
Queries relating to malpractice and special consideration must be directed
to the relevant awarding body. The processing and determination of
malpractice and special consideration cases is purely and solely the
preserve of an awarding body.  Aside from producing common inter-board
regulations covering malpractice and special consideration, the JCQ plays
no other part in these processes.

New Examination Centres

Queries and applications to be registered as a new examination centre, and
the centre approval process, must be sent to the relevant awarding body.

Non-examination assessments, including controlled assessments and
coursework, particularly informing candidates of their centre assessed
marks for internally assessed GCE and GCSE components, must be directed to
the awarding bodies.
