Percentage of driving licences that are cut up and returned as required by the replacement process
Dear Driver and Vehicle Licensing Agency,
When a driving licence is reissued, the recipient of the new licence is requested to then cut up and return the piece of their old licence to you.
For any recent year prior to Covid (to avoid any distortions in behaviour or demand), so let us say 2019, please can you supply the number of licences that were returned to you in this way, and the number that should have been returned in this way (i.e. the number of replacement driving licences issued)?
The ratio of those two numbers, expressed as a percentage, will also be an acceptable response.
Thanks in advance,
Paul Clarke

Have they actually answered this yet? If not this needs reporting to the ICO such a delay of a simple question is unacceptable
