Freedom of Information Response
Thank you for your request regarding the People’s Postcode Lottery, regarding the draws that take
place. This request has been processed under the Freedom of Information Act 2000 (FOIA).
Specifically, you have requested:
Excluding those that have only joined in the last 6 months, has everyone that has joined won
a prize?
How many postcodes were in the last draw that have not won a prize since joining.
Are all the draws randomised?
Have any postcodes won more than once a prize of more than £1000
Following a search of our records I can confirm that no information falling within the scope of your
request is held by the Gambling Commission.
The Commission is responsible for licensing and regulating the Gambling Industry in Great Britain.
We are responsible for issuing personal gambling licences for individuals and gambling operating
licences for businesses, including lottery operators such as the People’s Postcode Lottery . We set
requirements for all our licensees. Th
ese are the Licence Conditions and Codes of Practice (LCCP);
we do not regularly collect the day to day operational information you have requested as part of our
regulatory functions. This information may be held by the the appointed
External Lottery Manager,
who run the lottery on their behalf .
Review of the decision
If you are unhappy with the service you have received in relation to your Freedom of Information
request you are entitled to an internal review of our decision. You should write to FOI Team,
Gambling Commission, 4th floor, Victoria Square House, Victoria Square, Birmingham, B2 4BP or by
reply to this email.
Please note, internal review requests should be made within 40 working days of the initial response.
Requests made outside this timeframe will not be processed.
If you are not content with the outcome of our review, you may then apply directly to the Information
Commissioner (ICO) for a decision. Generally, the ICO cannot make a decision unless you have
already exhausted the review procedure provided by the Gambling Commission.
