Please could you tell me who you have leased Pedlars Acre Hall to, how much they pay and how long the lease is for. I would like to know what the money received for this lease is to be used for and what provision is made for the local community who have lost a community space to hire for community events.
I would also like to see the terms of the lease and would like to know if any considerations have been agreed with regard to parking in the adjacent estate, on the pavement in front of the North Lambeth Housing Office, behaviour outside the hall, rubbish, noise levels and times of amplified music and microphone use.

Thank you for submitting a Freedom of Information request to Lambeth Living on the 30th March 2014.

You requested the following information:

1. Please could you tell me who you have leased Pedlars Acre Hall to?

a) How much they pay and how long the lease is for?

b) I would like to know what the money received for this lease is to be used for and what provision is made for the local community who have lost a community space to hire for community events?

2. I would also like to see the terms of the lease?

a) I would like to know if any considerations have been agreed with regard to parking in the adjacent estate, on the pavement in front of the North Lambeth Housing Office, the behaviour outside the hall, rubbish, noise levels and times of amplified music and microphone use.

I have answered each of your questions below:

1)Pedlars Acre Hall has not been leased to anyone; it is an integral part of Lambeth Living's North Area Office and following aesthetic improvements, is Lambeth Living's main staff training venue.

a)No charges are made for any Lambeth Living or Council user including Tenant and Resident Associations.

b)The hall is predominantly booked (hired) by a Council supported group ran by a Pastor, but this does not preclude other groups using the hall providing sufficient notice is provided.

2) Please see booking agreement attached. The hall hire agreement has been designed for the Pastor's regular booking, but is not dissimilar from what Lambeth Living would expect all users to sign up too.

a)The booking agreement is clear on the issues you have highlighted and Lambeth Living is currently investigating allegations of noise nuisance. If you are aware of incidents of nuisance or wish to report any concerns relating to a breach of the hire agreement then please contact Elaine Brown, Tenancy Enforcement Officer on 020 7926 1917 or at [email address].
