Thank you for your request for information that was received on 17
November 2018 concerning: 
 
I am looking into finding out about the location of pedestrian crossings
in Birmingham Council. Please could you provide me with the following:

1) A list of all the different pedestrian crossings within Birmingham
Council boundaries. Including the location of all formal crossings: Zebra,
Toucan, Pegasus, Staggered Pelican/Puffin and Toucan crossings.

2) Information on the type of tactile paving used at each site.

3) A list of all lowered kerbs in the Birmingham Council district. Showing
the location of each and paying particular attention to the ones intended
for use as pedestrian crossing points.

4) The above would ideally include the use of the Geocoordinate system
information of each site, but also the street name and location.

The information will be used to provide a complete map of the District to
aid in the navigation of Birmingham Council for people with limited
mobility or requiring the use of a wheelchair.
 
We are dealing with your request under the Environmental Information
Regulations 2004 and we aim to send a response by 14 December 2018.
 
In some case, a fee may be payable. If we decide a fee is payable, we will
send you a fee notice and we will require you to pay the fee before
proceeding with your request.
 
The Environmental Information Regulations 2004 may restrict the release of
some or all of the information you have requested. We will carry out an
assessment and if any exceptions apply to some or all of the information
then we might not provide that information to you. We will inform you if
this is the case and advise you of your rights to request an internal
review and to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office.
 
We will also advise you if we cannot provide you with the information
requested for any other reason together with the reason(s) why and details
of how you may appeal (if appropriate).
