Our reference: 14540 EIR 29 November 2018
Dear Mr Howle,
Thank you for your request of 17 November 2018 in which you asked for the following information.
Please find our response to your questions below in bold:
I am looking into finding out about the location of pedestrian crossings in Oxfordshire County
Council. Please could you provide me with the following:
1) A list of all the different pedestrian crossings within Oxfordshire County Council boundaries.
Including the location of all formal crossings: Zebra, Toucan, Pegasus, Staggered
Pelican/Puffin and Toucan crossings.
Please see attached Excel spreadsheets titled, ‘Oxfordshire Pedestrian Signal Sites –
2018.xlsx’ and ‘Zebra Crossings.xlsx’.
2) Information on the type of tactile paving used at each site.
Oxfordshire County Council do not have a record of the type of tactile paving
installed at all our sites. However, the type of paving installed at the majority of our
signal crossings is detailed on page 22 – 23 of the following link.
https://assets.publishing.service.gov.uk/government/uploads/system/uploads/attach
ment_data/file/289245/tactile-paving-surfaces.pdf
3) A list of all lowered kerbs in the Oxfordshire County Council district. Showing the location of
each and paying particular attention to the ones intended for use as pedestrian crossing
points.
Oxfordshire County Council do not hold this information.
4) The above would ideally include the use of the Geocoordinate system information of
each site, but also the street name and location.
