Dear D Chapman

I write in connection with your Freedom of Information request, which was
submitted to Dorset Police on 03/04/2018.  I note you are requesting
information as follows:

I request disclosure of the numbers of Police Community Support
Officer(s), hereafter referred to as PCSO, who have been injured on duty
within the force during the time period 1st April 2015 to 30th September
2017.

This should be sourced from the appropriate Injury on Duty form(s) used in
Force.

The data required for each instance is as follows:

Date, type of incident, injury sustained, and outcome.

By outcome I mean whether they returned to active service, were medically
retired, or other. If no data is available, then this field may be left
blank.

It has been some time since your request was submitted, and it appears it
has not been processed in line with the Act and responded to as required
under the stated timescales.  For this I sincerely apologise, and
appreciate the frustration this may have caused.

My intention in writing to you is to ask whether you still require a
response to your request, as the FOI Team continue to work through all
identified requests that have not been answered.  If however you no longer
require a response to this request, I would be grateful if you confirm by
return of this email.  All unresolved cases are being worked through as
quickly as possible.

I once again apologise for the significant delays, and ask for your
understanding as we work through a number of outstanding cases.  I
appreciate this situation is not acceptable, and we are also working to
improve processes and staffing levels for the future.

If you wish to discuss at all, please feel free to contact me.

Yours sincerely
