1. The exact number of payouts for clinical negligence claims in the maternity sector.
2. The total sum of payouts for clinical negligence claims in the maternity sector.
3. For the same time period, how much was the total NHS maternity budget? If you are not aware of the total NHS maternity budget, who has these figures?

Q1 and 2:
 
The table below shows the number of successful claims relating to the
specialty ‘Obstetrics’ were closed, or settled as a periodical payment
order (PPO) in 2016/17 and the payments relating to these claims.  Please
note that damages payments may span many years (not just 2016/17) and the
column ‘total damages’ includes an estimate for future annual payments for
claims that are settled as a PPO.
