Payments under Barnett formula - Proposed High Speed Rail link

HM Treasury did not have the information requested.

Dear Sir or Madam,

Please could you confirm what payments, if any, would be made to the devolved regions of the UK as a result of applying the Barnett formula to the cost of building the proposed Scotland to London High Speed Rail link.

I appreciate that the project is at a planning stage and that the question is to some extent hypothetical but, assuming the project is completed at the estimated cost of £34bn and that the Barnett formula is applied under current arrangements, what payments would be made?

Thank you.

Yours faithfully,

Peter Jones
