Payments to the Returning Officers
Dear Wirral Metropolitan Borough Council,
Please advise how much has been paid by Wirral Borough Council, whether directly or using funds granted by the Home Office or others, to the Returning Officer in each year since 2006 and whether these payments are subject to income tax and National Insurance and if they qualify for pension contributions to the recipient.
I would also like to know whether any time sheets or record of duties exists for the period of the payments.
Yours faithfully,
Councillor Ian Lewis
