Dear Mr Conner

I write in response to your Freedom of Information request, in which you
sought information relating to two transactions published within the
Council’s expenditure dataset for April 2016.

·         Transaction 1639901 Faulty Towers The Dining Experience Ltd
£3,416

The Faulty Towers payment is a deposit payable for 2017 shows at the
Floral Pavilion Theatre. The expenditure is costed to The Floral Pavilion,
Cultural Services (Arts and Museums), Regeneration and Environment and was
approved by the Venue Manager.

o Transaction CC Findmeagift.com £507.60

This relates to the purchase of 500 floating water lanterns for a Floating
Lantern Festival to celebrate the relighting of Perch Rock Lighthouse, New
Brighton, on 23 April 2016
([1]www.marinepoint.co.uk/brighten-new-brighton/).  Whilst the event took
place, the festival which was to be the conclusion of the event was
cancelled on the day due to adverse weather conditions and will be
rescheduled in the Autumn of 2016.  The amount paid to Findmeagift.com
includes VAT which is reclaimable and in addition, £350 worth of
sponsorship was committed by local businesses towards the cost of the
lanterns and will be reclaimed after the rescheduled event.

The expenditure is costed to Wallasey Constituency Team, Neighbourhoods &
Engagement section, Chief Executive's Department and was approved by the
Constituency Manager – Wallasey.

Yours sincerely
