I am writing in response to your email received by Post Office Limited on
17 October which I am dealing with under the terms of the Freedom of
Information Act 2000.

 

In your email, you have requested the following information:

 

What payments did the NFSP receive in the financial years 2006/2007,
2007/2008, 2008/2009.  Reason for payment.

 

I can advise that Post Office Ltd does hold the information you have
requested, as previously advised in our response sent 11 October 2012. 
Post Office Ltd makes facilities payment to the NFSP. These facilities
payments would be reported within the NFSP annual accounts.

 

The payments made within each year you have requested are, £218.7k for
2006/2007, £175K for 2007/2008, and £250k for 2008/2009.

 

In addition Post Office Ltd has made payments of £5k, for 2007/2008, and
£0.4k for 2008/2009 to the NFSP for attendance and sponsorship at the NFSP
Annual Conference. The payments cover the cost of Post Office employees
attending, exhibition space and our annual sponsorship of a conference
dinner.

 

Lastly Post Office Ltd has made one payment of £50k for Rural Strategy and
support activities in 2006/2007.  These payments are to cover items such
as the expenses and costs of the NFSP attending meetings, workshops and
member communication costs related to the Rural Strategy.

 

I hope the information I have provided on this occasion is useful. If you
