Payments to Love Your Doorstep

The request was successful.

Dear Enfield Council,

Can you please tell me how many years Enfield Council has engaged the paid services of the Love Your Doorstep Community Forum?

How much in total was paid to Love Your Doorstep by Enfield Council for each of these years?

Has a proper report been undertaken to verify that it is value for money to pay this money to Love Your Doorstep?
For example, have more people accessed services since Love Your Doorstep was engaged?

If no report has been undertaken please let me know why you think this service offers value for money, for example can events etc not be advertised on the council’s numerous social media forums??

Yours faithfully,

Tom Gould

Shima Tailor, Enfield Council

Dear Mr Gould,

Please find the response to your Freedom of Information request below.

Enfield Council’s communication team has been working with Love Your
Doorstep(LYDS) for 4 years.

The cost of using LYDS as a marketing channel has been £9,600 a year and
there has been no price increase over this time.

Reporting is done monthly and an annual review undertaken at the end of
each year.

The cost covers all corporate campaigns delivered by the marketing team.
The LYDS platform forms part of the wider range of marketing channels used
by the Council, existing channels include the local newspaper, outdoor
advertising, flyers, posters and social media. LYDS has proved more
successful than our regular channels and quite often our own social media
e.g. Sports Development Team – many of their holiday sports activities
were not fully booked but these are now full or oversubscribed.  Fostering
and adoption get a better engagement rate through the LYDS platform and so
do local events.

Compared to other traditional channels, LYDS provides a cost effective and
measurable marketing channel for the Council.  The LYDS community forum
has a much larger following on Facebook and they have more resources to
respond on our behalf.  March 2018 -      LYDS Facebook community forum
members: 22,000

Enfield Council Facebook followers: 6,500

As with all marketing channels, we will continue to regularly monitor
performance and review arrangements with LYDS.

Yours sincerely,

Shima Tailor
