Dear Ryan Janet,
Does Baking and Dagenham Borough Council have or has had a contract with the UK Border Agency whereby they accept a number of Asylum Seekers in return for a payment from the UKBA
Yours sincerely,
J Ryan
Dear Ms Ryan
Thank you for your email regarding Asylum Seekers.
I have managed to obtain the following information:-
All London boroughs are on a rota referral system. We average one referral every five weeks. These are 16-18 year old UASCS claimable under the grant. There is not a contract in place. The scheme is run by Croydon council.
The above information does not include asylum seekers that present in our borough which have to be assessed and sent back to the Home office for screening
