regarding Payments to Adoptive Parents

I have sent your request to Janet Ryan (Adult & Community Services) in the
Children's Services who will arrange for the information to be provided
to you no later than 28 July 2011.

Please can you quantify your Council's expenditure during the

2010-2011 financial year on EACH of the following, -

First, Adopted Child Support Allowance

-L-779,476.57 (April 2010 - March 2011)

Second, Grants to Adoptive Parents to purchase furniture,

equipment, etc, prior to the adopted children's arrival,

Third, prospective Adoptive Parents expenses, e.g,

mileage,reimbursement of loss of earnings when attending

Court,meals and hotel accommodation when visiting a prospective

adoptive child in its Foster Home, etc.

-L-14,711.92 (combined answer to above two questions as we
do not record this information separately)
