Please see table below of amounts paid to HMRC in relation to PAYE Contributions.
We have provided totals from 2007 to date. We do not hold the information from 1998 to 2007. We are only required to retain information for 6 years.
Please note that the figures are totals paid to HMRC in that financial year and not the tax year that a pay over relates to.
In 2012/13 Schools paid by a third party provider moved on to a separate PAYE Reference so I have provided both figures.
In relation to the second question, how is PAYE Funded. PAYE is deducted from employees gross salary. Salaries are funded out of the Councils revenue budget. Budget papers available on the Internet will detail the sources of funding for the revenue budget. The main sources of funding are the Revenue Support Grant, Fees and Charges, Council Tax and retained NNDR Contributions.
