Pay Band Changes

Waiting for an internal review by Department of Finance (Northern Ireland) of their handling of this request.

Dear Department of Finance and Personnel (Northern Ireland),

I request copies of all records, documents, correspondence, diary entries, minutes, etc relating to the decision to change the Pay Bands for Special Advisers that took effect in 2012. This would include any drafts of finalised documents. I understand this decision was formalised and agreed in 2011.

To help with the request I outline some areas below to have regard to. However, I am not proposing to confine my request to such areas.

This request would include minutes of any meetings where this matter was discussed. It would include diary entries relating to such meetings if no minutes were kept or minutes do not record who attended. It would include any submissions made internally within the Department on this matter, as well as all drafts of those submissions. It would include copies of all documents - including drafts - submitted to the Office of First and Deputy First Minister, the Northern Ireland Executive or other ministers or departments on this matter. It would include any correspondence, reports, justifications - including drafts - received from any other bodies, including the Office of the First and Deputy First Minister on this matter.

Yours faithfully,

David Moore

Dear Mark,

Could you please advise as to the status of this request?

I am loathe to go to the hassle of making a complaint to the Information Commissioner’s Office to ensure compliance with the FOI legislation.

Kind regards,

David Moore

Dear Department of Finance and Personnel (Northern Ireland),

Please pass this on to the person who conducts Freedom of Information reviews.

I am writing to request an internal review of Department of Finance and Personnel (Northern Ireland)'s handling of my FOI request 'Pay Band Changes'.

The reasons for my request are that I do not believe that this is all the relevant documentation that the Department maintains on this case. You will note that my original request referred to drafts, submission to other Departments, etc, none of which are contained in this response.

The second reason for my request for the internal review is the length of time in responding. This is outside the statutory timelines and no justification of same is provided in the response.

A full history of my FOI request and all correspondence is available on the Internet at this address: https://www.whatdotheyknow.com/request/p...

Yours faithfully,

D Moore

Dear Mr Kirkpatrick,

I was advised on the January 29 that "The Department has asked Ray Wright to carry out a review and we would expect to be able to issue a determination within twenty working days of the date of this letter."

That is long since passed. Can you advise as to the current status of the Internal Review?

Yours sincerely,

D Moore

Dear Department of Finance and Personnel (Northern Ireland),

I refer to my previously unrespondended email on this matter.

Can I please have an update on this?

Yours faithfully,

D Moore
