Good afternoon,

Thank you for your information access request received on the 22^nd March
2021 where you asked for information about Pay and Display Transactions
and Income.

Under Section 1(1)(a) of the Freedom of Information Act 2000 we can
confirm that Boston Borough Council does hold the information specified in
your request.

Where the council is responsible for On-Street and Off-Street pay and
display car parking (excluding Off-Street pay-on-foot and pay-on-exit car
parks, permits, season tickets, PCN and other income);

For the period 01/04/2019 to 31/03/2020, please could you tell me:

·       The total number of pay and display parking tickets or
transactions sold (all payment methods) 596,540

·       The total pay and display income (Cash, Credit/Debit card, Mobile
App) £1,074,751.60

·       Total number of pay and display parking tickets or transactions
sold via a Mobile App parking payment provider 29729

·       Total pay and display income processed via a Mobile App parking
payment provider £70,073.30

The above income figures are net income, before VAT is paid.

Finally, in relation to the Council’s current Mobile App parking payment
provider, could you tell me:

·       What is the contract expiry date for your Mobile App parking
payment provider, and are there any extension periods? We do not have a
contract with our provider, we pay on a monthly basis. However, we do have
a contract for our Penalty Charge Notice (PCN) processing and the software
used by the company that carry out our processing is created by the same
company that runs the mobile app. The two work together so that any stays
made via the mobile app show up on the PCN software; because of this it is
unlikely that we would consider changing one without the other.

·       What is the current notice period required in order for the
Council to exit this contract? We are not under contract.

·       What is the current contract value, annualised over the period
01/04/2019 – 31/03/2020? We are not under contract.

We trust that the information above completes your request in full,
however if we can be of any further assistance, please contact us. If you
are unhappy with the service you have received in relation to your request
and wish to make a complaint or request a review of the Council’s
decision, you should contact Suzanne Rolfe, Transformation Manager on
