Where the council is responsible for On-Street and Off-Street pay and display car parking (excluding Off-Street pay-on-foot and pay-on-exit car parks, permits, season tickets, PCN and other income);
For the period 01/04/2019 to 31/03/2020, please could you tell me:
* The total number of pay and display parking tickets or transactions sold (all payment methods)
* The total pay and display income (Cash, Credit/Debit card, Mobile App)
* Total number of pay and display parking tickets or transactions sold via a Mobile App parking payment provider
* Total pay and display income processed via a Mobile App parking payment provider
Finally, in relation to the Council’s current Mobile App parking payment provider, could you tell me:
* What is the contract expiry date for your Mobile App parking payment provider, and are there any extension periods?
* What is the current notice period required in order for the Council to exit this contract?
* What is the current contract value, annualised over the period 01/04/2019 – 31/03/2020?

I refer to your Freedom of Information request in relation to On-Street
and Off-Street pay and display car parking
Right of Access
Section 1(1) of the Act provides any person making a request for
information to a public authority is entitled.
(a) to be informed in writing by the public authority whether it holds
information of the description specified in the request (which Section
1(6) of the Act designates as the "duty to confirm or deny"), and
(b) if that is the case, to have that information communicated to him.
The right is to obtain access to the information itself and not to the
document or record which contains it.
The Act creates a general right of access to information held by public
authorities subject to various exemptions.
Northumberland County Council confirms that it holds the information you
have requested, please see the (attached/following) information in
response.
Q.1 The total number of pay and display parking tickets or transactions
sold (all payment methods)
The total number of pay & display (ticket machine & card transactions) for
1 April 2019 to 31 March 2020 was 629,970 transactions.
Q.2 The total pay and display income (Cash, Credit/Debit card, Mobile App)
The total pay and display income for 1 April 2019 to 31 March 2020 (all
payment methods) was £1,478,016 nett.
Q.3 Total number of pay and display parking tickets or transactions sold
via a Mobile App parking payment provider.

Q.4 Total pay and display income processed via a Mobile App parking
payment provider.

Finally, in relation to the Council’s current Mobile App parking payment
provider, could you tell me:

We introduced mobile phone parking payment services in summer of 2020, the
contract expires 14 June 2023. The contract will automatically renew for
two additional one-year terms, unless either party gives the other at
least 90 days prior notice of its intent not to renew the contract before
the end of the then current term.
Q.6 What is the current notice period required in order for the Council to
exit this contract?
