FOI Request : 17241 (Parking) and duplicate FOI 17304 (Pay and Display
Transactions and Income)

I am very sorry for the delay in collating the information for your
separate and duplicated enquiries relating to parking and pay and display
transactions and income  dated the 24 July 2020 and the 27 August 2020
respectively.

For clarity, I have listed the answers in red next to the corresponding
questions. 

Where the council is responsible for On-Street and Off Street pay and
display car parking (excluding Off-Street pay-on-foot and pay-on-exit car
parks, permits, season tickets, PCN and other income)

For the period 01/04/2019 to 31/03/2020, please could you tell me:

1. The total number of Off Street pay and display parking
transactions/tickets sold (all payment methods). Unable to run reports for
this question.
2. The total number of On Street pay and display parking
transactions/tickets sold (all payment methods).  On-Street Parking is
provided by South Essex Parking Partnership on behalf of Chelmsford City
Council.
3. Total Off Street pay and display income (cash, credit/debit card, pay
by phone). £1,379,649.80
4. Total On Street pay and display income (cash, credit/debit card, pay by
phone). On-Street Parking is provided by South Essex Parking Partnership
on behalf of Chelmsford City Council.
5. Total number of Off Street pay and display parking transactions/tickets
sold via a pay by phone provider. Unable to run reports for the question
asked.
6. Total number of On Street pay and display parking transactions/tickers
sold via a pay by phone provider.  On-Street Parking is provided by South
Essex Parking Partnership on behalf of Chelmsford City Council.
7. Total Off Street pay and display income processed via a pay by phone
provider.  £319,739.50

9. In relation to the Council’s current pay by phone parking provider, can
you tell me:
a. What is the contract expiry date for your pay by phone parking
provider, including any extension periods? November 2022
b. What is the current notice period required in order for the Council to
exit this contract? N/A
c. What is the current contract value, annualised over the period
01/04/2020 ? 31/03/2020? Invalid date frame.
