Paul Gambaccini

The request was refused by Crown Prosecution Service.

Dear Crown Prosecution Service,

BACKGROUND:
https://www.theguardian.com/uk-news/2018...

A CPS spokeswoman said: “We have reached an agreement without admission of liability”.

So, another disaster for the taxpayer-funded CPS.

REQUEST:
1.How much did you pay the victim, Paul Gambaccini in: -
a)legal costs?
b) compensation?
2.How much did it cost the taxpayer in external legal fees?
3.Name the CPS worker or other person who authorised the agreement.
4.Provide all external legal advice given to the CPS on the compensation case (not the criminal case).

Yours faithfully,

Dear Mr Williams

Freedom of Information Act 2000 Request - Ref:- 8142

Thank you for your Freedom of Information (FOI) request which we received
on 3 November 2018.

The CPS are required to conduct a public interest test in relation to your
request. This public interest test is required because some of the
information you have requested may engage section 36 (prejudice to the
effective conduct of public affairs) of the FOI Act.

Under section 10(3) of the FOI Act we are entitled to extend the time
limit for FOI requests where the public interest has to be considered by a
reasonable period; the ICO determine a reasonable period for complex
requests such as yours to be an extra 20 working days. We hope to issue a
substantive response to your FOI request as soon as possible, and in any
event within 20 working days of this email. This will be by latest 31^st
December 2018.

If the public interest is determined to be in favour of withholding
information under this exemption then we will provide a full explanation
of why the exemption is engaged and the public interest factors taken into
consideration.

I realise that the further period of time required may be disappointing
news, if you have any queries please feel free to contact me using the

Dear CPS/DPP,

You don't need that long, just issue the refusal so I can move it to the ICO and then Tribunal.

You made a complete mess of this and the taxpayer is left to pick up the bill for your stupidity.

Any NDA has no force under FOIA.

Yours sincerely,

Edward Williams

Correspond with them.

Dear Information Management Unit,

And still no sign of the IR.

The CPS has no respect for the law, a very poor example to others.
