Paul Couldrey

andrew brown made this Freedom of Information request to University of Northampton

This request has been closed to new correspondence from the public body. Contact us if you think it ought be re-opened.

The request was refused by University of Northampton.

Dear University of Northampton,

The above named was recently warned by the Solicitors Regulation Authority for falsely claiming to be a Solicitor . It was covered in the media

He claims online ( effectively in advertising to the whole world via the internet) that he has a law degree from your institution. That is a longstanding claim .

See https://www.pcdcportal.org/SignedOut/Vie...

I believe the false claim to potential customers of his legal advisory services to have been a Solicitor itself raises questions over whether he has the degree he claims. I have sought permission from him to receive information from awarding institutions but he has not responded. In that instance I am making a Freedom of Information request and I would suggest it is in the public interest that you verify whether or not he does have that degree.

Yours faithfully,

andrew brown
