This is to acknowledge receipt of your request for information relating to
the number of patients flagged each month as being chargeable under the
National Health Service (Charges to Overseas Visitors) Regulations 2015
for the period 01/07/2018 to 01/07/2020. This was received on 12 August

the Freedom of Information Act 2000 and that you can expect to receive a
reply within the timescale specified.

The timescale allowed for a response under the FOI legislation is 20

Thank you for your request for information relating to the number of
patients flagged each month as being chargeable under the National Health
Service (Charges to Overseas Visitors) Regulations 2015 for the period
01/07/2018 to 01/07/2020.

Request:

Please disclose the number of patients flagged each month as being
chargeable under the National Health Service (Charges to Overseas
Visitors) Regulations 2015. Please supply the above figures for each month
for the period 01/07/2018 to 01/07/2020.

We can neither confirm nor deny whether some of the information you have
requested is held by the Trust in its entirety. This is because the
information requested is not held in an easily retrievable format, but may
be recorded in different areas within the Trust. In order to confirm
whether this information is held we would therefore have to manually
review every individual data report within the Trust and extract the
information where it is present. We therefore estimate that complying with
your request is exempt under section 12 of the FOI Act: cost of compliance
is excessive. The section 12 exemption applies when it is estimated a
request will take in excess of 18 hours to complete. We estimate that
accessing and reviewing all data reports and then extracting relevant
information would take longer than the 18 hours allowed for.
