Dear Cambridgeshire and Peterborough NHS Foundation Trust,
I am writing to you under the Freedom of Information Act 2000 to request the following information:

Does your trust have a 'Patient Portal / patient engagement platform / Personal Health Record'?
If yes:
* Who is the current provider?
* What is the name of the current solution?
* What is the start and end date of the contract?
* Is there a break clause, if so, when?

If no:
* Are you planning to procure a 'Patient Portal / patient engagement platform / Personal Health Record'?
* If yes, when are you looking to go out to market and by what route?
* What is the expected term of the contract?

If you have any queries, please don’t hesitate to contact me and I will be very happy to clarify what I am asking for and discuss the request.

Thank you for your time and I look forward to your response.

Yours faithfully,

Wendy Naylor

Dear Freedom of information,

Thank you for your response and for sign-posting me to a recent FOI for the answer (FOI F24-240); however the reported system (Assemble) is not a Patient Engagement Portal (PEP) provider; please see below for further information:

A PEP is a digital way for trusts to communicate with patients, allowing patients to do things such as:
* View/confirm/cancel/change appointments digitally
* View their appointment letters digitally
* Send patients SMS reminders of appointments
* Complete questionnaires digitally (such as pre/post operative assessments; PROMs/PREMs)
* View self help information relating to their care pathway

Bearing all of the above in mind, please could you advise if your trust already has a PEP in place (and which system that is), is in the process of implementing or procuring a PEP or is considering a future procurement?

Many Thanks,

Kind Regards,

Wendy Naylor

Dear Ms Naylor,

Further to your email,

We do not currently have a system in place that meets the criteria you have outlined below, however, we will be looking in the next 12-24 months for a solution via NHS procurement frameworks.
