Dear Ms Osborne,

Thank you for your information request regarding patent Supplementary
Protection Certificates (SPCs).

The Intellectual Property Office is not obliged to provide search
information of this kind as it is exempt under section 21 of the Freedom
of Information Act, because it is a available to you by other means,
either by obtaining a commercial search or by searching for yourself via
our website.

Information concerning UK SPCs is searchable via the online patents
journal - [1]https://www.ipo.gov.uk/p-pj.

In order to search for a specific product, you need to select the ‘SPCs’
tab (the second from the right), and enter the name of the product in the
‘Refine’ box.  This will call up any relevant entries for that product, if
there are any.  One thing to note is that you need to ensure that you
select the correct date range as the page defaults to searching the most
recent version of the journal (whereas in this case you’d want to search
all online records, which go back to 2006).

For example, below is a screenshot of a search for the product
‘ketorolac’, which shows the journal entry when it was first lodged and
also the entry showing when it was granted.  It also shows other
information, including patent number details.

A similar search indicates that Sotrovimab is not covered by any SPCs.

Please let me know if you require any further information or explanation.

If you are dissatisfied with the handling of your information request, you
have the right to ask for an internal review.  Internal review requests
should be submitted within two months and you may ask for a review by
emailing [2][Intellectual Property Office request email] .  If you are not content with the outcome of
an internal review, you have the right to apply directly to the
Information Commissioner for a decision. The Information Commissioner can
be contacted at [3]FOI and EIR complaints | ICO .

Dear Ms Osborne,

To be clear, my comment below on Tocilizumab was indicative, not
definitive, as the IPO has not carried out a detailed search.
