Past cut-off scores for Upton Court - Admission to Year 7

The request was successful.

Dear Upton Court Grammar School,

Q1. For the past 3 years i.e. students who started at your school in Sep 2021, 2020 and 2019 - could you please provide me the raw and age standardised scores?
This should give a fair idea to parents whose students are taking the Slough 11 Plus exam in Sep 2021 as those parents will be able to better guess the chances of their child getting a place at your school depending on the child's score.

Q2. Also, I believe, you do not have a designated catchment area so where a child lives does not matter; his/her score matters except for the last place (lowest rank) where distance of the child's home address from school is considered. Could you please confirm that my understanding is correct?

Yours faithfully,

Abhijit

Dear Abhijit,

Further to the request below:

Q1 A spreadsheet is attached showing the standardised scores for 2021, 2020 and 2019. The raw scores are not provided to the Slough Consortium.

Q2 Up to 120 places are allocated by the rank order of score criteria, irrespective of where they live. When there are a number of children on the same score but not enough places to offer all of them a place, they are then put into distance order. The remaining 45 places are allocated by the distance criteria, ie any child scoring 111 or above who live closest to the school.

Regards.
