Dear HM Passport Office,

Please can you clarify some information.

What is your policy to renewing passports to British persons that are abroad but are using a British address (for postage) and are wanted for arrest by the police in the UK.

Yours faithfully,

Daniel S.

FOI, HM Passport Office

Dear Daniel S

Thank you for your below email.

Section 8(1) of the Freedom of Information Act 2000 requires that a request for information must state the name of the applicant. Your email does not do this and therefore are refusing your request because it does not meet the requirements for a request for information under the Act.

You should provide at least an initial with your surname to make a valid request.

If you provide your details, we will consider your request again.

Yours sincerely

Her Majesty's Passport Office
