Passenger numbers post covid

Andy Soames made this Freedom of Information request to Department for Transport

This request has been closed to new correspondence. Contact us if you think it should be reopened.

The request was refused by Department for Transport.

Dear Department for Transport,

I read that the Department has stated that passenger numbers in the last week of August 2020 were 37% of those in the equivalent week in 2019.

I'd like to request details of these figures, or another later week, showing some breakdown of this figure below national level.

Yours faithfully,

Andy Soames

Dear Department for Transport,

Please pass this on to the person who conducts Freedom of Information reviews.

I am writing to request an internal review of Department for Transport's handling of my FOI request 'Passenger numbers post covid'.

In your response you state that the data I have asked for is already available, and refer me to your website, where the requested data is not available. You then even go on to clarify in your response that "The data can only be presented at national level", obtaining this data at lower than national level was the request.

If that is correct then your response that the data was already available was incorrect, and you should have refused my request. I do not however accept that the data is not available at a lower level, as you are provided with this data from the TOCs and therefore by definition it exists at a sub national level.

I look forward to hearing the outcome of your review of the above.

A full history of my FOI request and all correspondence is available on the Internet at this address: https://www.whatdotheyknow.com/request/p...

Yours faithfully,

Andy Soames
