Making law and politics work together at the heart of the UK constitution
Dear Mr Biddle,
The AGO is seeking clarification to your Freedom of Information request
dated 16 January 2022.
It may be helpful if I explain that the Freedom of Information Act (2000)
gives individuals and organisations the right of access to all types of
recorded information held, at the time the request is received, by public
authorities such as the Attorney General's Office (AGO). Section 1(3) of
the Act outlines that where a public authority reasonably requires further
information in order to identify and locate the information requested and
has informed the applicant of that requirement, the authority is not
obliged to comply unless it is supplied with that further information.
It appears some words are missing from your request and I wanted to
clarify with you what information you are looking for in parts 2a and 2b
of your request.
Please can you confirm if you are content for us to interpret these parts
of your request as follows:
2a) Any communications or correspondence since 2017, either written by or
sent to the Attorney General, Solicitor General or Director General of the
Attorney General's Office, regarding the Attorney General's Office’s
relationship with Stonewall.
2b) Any communications or correspondence since 2015, either written by or
sent to the Attorney General, Solicitor General or Director General of the
Attorney General's Office, regarding the Attorney General's Office’s
statements, public announcements or press statements
regarding LGBT+ policy and/or internal Attorney General's Office policies
towards LGBT+ staff.
Please be aware that the 20 day deadline for response will start from the
date on which your clarification is received. That said, we will still of
course endeavour to respond sooner if we are able to. If we do not receive
clarification on this point within the next two months your request will
be considered closed.
Yours sincerely,
FOI Officer

Please could you provide me with the following information under the Freedom of Information Act.

b) Any Attorney General's Office policy regarding LGBT+ employees
