What is the average cost of an annual local resident parking permit within your council?

How many local resident parking permits did you issue within the following timeframe: 1st January 2017 – 31st December 2017

Please provide the cost of an annual local resident parking permit over the last five years, including how the price has changed each year

How much revenue did the council receive through local resident parking permit over the past calendar year – 1st January 2017 – 31st December 2017

Does the cost of an annual parking permit differ depending on what street/area the permit is for? If it does differ, please provide the price range and the reasons for the variation in price.

I refer to your recent request under the Freedom of Information (Scotland)
Act 2002 and can provide you with the following information in response to
your request.

 

1) What is the average cost of an annual local resident parking permit
within your council?

All residents permits currently cost £79.00

 

2) How many local resident parking permits did you issue within the
following timeframe: 1st January 2017 – 31st December 2017

There were 824 permits issued during 2017

 

3) Please provide the cost of an annual local resident parking permit over
the last five years, including how the price has changed each year

Price increases usually take place at the beginning of the financial year
if put forward and approved by Council.

2012/13 - £68.25

2013-14 - £71.66

2014-15 - £75.00

2015-16 - £77.00

2016-17 - £79.00

2017-18 - £79.00

 

4) How much revenue did the council receive through local resident parking
permit over the past calendar year – 1st January 2017 – 31st December 2017

£59,798.08

 

5) Does the cost of an annual parking permit differ depending on what
street/area the permit is for? If it does differ, please provide the price
range and the reasons for the variation in price.

There is no difference in price depending on area.

 

If you are dissatisfied with the way in which your request for information
has been dealt with you are entitled to request a review of the actions
and decisions made by the Council in relation to your request.  Your
request for review must be in writing or some other permanent form stating
your name and address for correspondence, and specifying the request for
information to which your request for review relates and why you are
dissatisfied with the response.

 

You must make your request for review not later than 40 working days after
the expiry of the 20 working day period of response to your initial
request by the Council or not later than 40 working days after the receipt
by you of the information provided, any fees notice issued or any
notification of refusal or partial refusal.

appropriate officer to undertake a review.

to investigate your case. You must ask the Scottish Information
Commissioner no later than 6 months after the date of receipt by you of
the notice or decision you are dissatisfied with or within 6 months of the
expiry of the period of 20 working days from receipt by the Council of
your request for review. 

 

The Scottish Information Commissioner recommends that you appeal online.

You may also appeal against a decision of the Scottish Information
