Dear Hayley

Thanks for contacting Parking Services.

1.       The cost of our parking permits can be found via our website
here: [1]https://www.bristol.gov.uk/parking/schem...

•First residents' permit cost depends on the vehicle emissions tax band:
free, £24, £48 or £72 for a year (see table below).

•Second permit costs £96 for a year.

•Third permit costs £192 for a year.

•There is an option to pay for your residents’ permit every three months
in quarterly instalments.

Vehicle co2 emissions tax band

First permit cost per year

Band A (up to 100) Free

Band B (101 to 110) £24

Band C to K (111 to 225) £48

Band L to M (226 to 255+) £72

No band or registered before 1 March 2001 £48

This is true for all RPS areas except Easton & St Phillips, which is as
follows:

Permit type  Permit cost per year

Residents’ 1st permit

(Low emission vehicle: tax band A) Free

Residents’ 1st permit (any other tax band) £30

Residents’ 2nd permit £80

Residents’ 3rd permit £200

And the CPZ, which is £50 and only one permit is available per property.

Due to the various different permits on offer I wouldn’t be sure whether
you want the average price for just the first permit, all 3 permits etc so
I have provided all of the costs of all permits for you to determine.

2.       26,384 permits

3.       Most RPS areas started in 2015  or 2016, however I can confirm
that no prices have changed for any scheme in the last 5 years

4.       £1,448,779

5.       As explained within question 1. The CPZ is a historical charge
implemented long before the RPS areas were introduced and Easton & St
Phillips hasn’t been changed as it has not yet been subject to a review.

Kind regards
