Dear Arun District Council,

Under the Freedom of Information Act 2000, I would like to enquire the following information relating to parking permits:

What is the average cost of an annual local resident parking permit within your council?

How many local resident parking permits did you issue within the following timeframe: 1st January 2017 – 31st December 2017

Please provide the cost of an annual local resident parking permit over the last five years, including how the price has changed each year

How much revenue did the council receive through local resident parking permit over the past calendar year – 1st January 2017 – 31st December 2017

Does the cost of an annual parking permit differ depending on what street/area the permit is for? If it does differ, please provide the price range and the reasons for the variation in price.

I would like to enquire the following information relating to parking
permits:

 

 1. What is the average cost of an annual local resident parking permit
within your council?

 

 2. How many local resident parking permits did you issue within the

RESPONSE:

 

Bognor Regis is the only part of Arun District Council’s area that has a
residents parking scheme in operation:

 

 1. Bognor Regis Controlled Parking Zone (CPZ) is £31.70

 

 2. 1090

 

 3. Permits in the Bognor Regis CPZ are issued for either 12, 6 or 3
months. The first permit at any address is issued at a lower rate and
any subsequent permits at a higher rate which is detailed below:

 

2013   1^st Permit 12 months =
£40.00.                                       2^nd Permit 12 months =
£80.00

2013   1^st Permit   6 months = £20.00.
                                       2^nd Permit    6 months = £40.00

 

2014   1^st Permit 12 months = £40.00.
                                       2^nd Permit  12 months = £80.00

2014   1^st Permit    6 months= £20.00.
                                       2^nd Permit    6 months = £40.00

 

2015   1^st Permit 12 months = £40.00.
                                       2^nd Permit 12 months = £80.00

2015   1^st Permit   6 months = £20.00.
                                       2^nd Permit    6 months = £40.00

2015   1^st Permit   3 months = £10.25.
                                       2^nd Permit    3 months = £20.50

 

2016   1^st Permit 12 months = £41.00.
                                       2^nd Permit 12 months = £83.00 

                            1^st Permit price increase £1.00 = 2.5%.
                        2^nd Permit increase £3.00 = 3.7%.

                2016   1^st Permit   6 months = £20.50.
                                       2^nd Permit    6 months = £41.50 

                            1^st Permit price increase £1.00 = 2.5%.     
                   2^nd Permit increase £1.50 = 3.7%.

                2016   1^st Permit   3 months = £10.25.
                                       2^nd Permit    3 months = £20 50

 

                2017   1^st Permit 12 months =
£41.00.                                       2^nd Permit 12 months =
£83.00

                2017   1^st Permit   6 months = £20.50.
                                       2^nd Permit    6 months = £41.50

5. The cost of a resident permit in the Bognor Regis CPZ is the same
throughout the zone regardless of the road/street
